Bowling Green Swim Club

The Bowling Green Swim Club exists to promote a guided age group/senior program for the sport of swimming, and to provide those athletes with organized opportunities for competition. The club aims to improve the abilities of all its members and to encourage the participation of all in swimming meets. When young people become members of BGSC, they learn the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, goal setting and discipline. Swimming provides physical, emotional and intellectual skills that will last a lifetime. It is our goal to provide a safe environment for all of our swimmers on a daily basis, following the MAAPP 2.0 policies.

All of our coaches have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time our athletes spend in the water will be quality time.  Our fall/winter season practices are held at the Bowling Green State University Student Rec Center, Cooper Natatorium. The Cooper Natatorium is a 50-meter by 25-yard Olympic-sized pool. During the summer months, we also swim outside at the Bowling Green Family Aquatic Center.

We are a non-profit youth organization, run by an elected Board of Directors, which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved as volunteers, in team activities and fundraising.
